28th December 2025, 600 Yards

Today was our last shoot for 2025.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has come over the last 12 months to our shooting days.  We at the Southern Downs Rifle Club hope you have enjoyed yourselves and are very happy to return in 2026.  I think everyone  can say that our committee has done a great job running the club.  Thank you to Greg W for the mounds always being mown and ready each week.  To Richard McK and Gordon M for the range being well mown and presented so well.  Last but not least Kevin B who has taken over from Richard for our targets being ready for shooting.  Without all of you our club grounds and shooting days would not run as smoothly.

We had 15 shooters today.  The weather was kind to us but it was still not easy to shoot.  With flags flying left, right and back to the left it was a good day about reading wind.  Not all of us can read wind obviously.  We only had two classes shooting today.  The women came out in front.  Margaret T winning F Open and Stephanie N winning PCO.  Stephanie only shot a rifle for the first time today.  Well done, both of you.

Margaret and Stephanie with winning smiles as they won their classes today.
