Being the fifth Sunday of the month we shot a "Bisley Shoot". We drew the names out of a hat and the shooters shot in pairs. The person on the right would shoot their shot first and the other shooter on the left would shoot their first shot next and then they would alternate. Today we shot on the 600 yard mound with 15 shooters. At 7.30am this morning the wind was nonexistent, come 9am to shoot and the flags were blowing in four different directions at once. Some of us handled the first string with perfect score and some of us handled the second string with little trouble, but on one handled both conditions in F Class, only Carl handled the conditions in PCO. with a perfect score. Today the wind was horrendous. We had a casualty with the shotmaker today on range six. The wind blow the sensors to pieces and the targets out of their frames at times. Today was the fifth Sunday in the month so we had a "Fly Shoot" from the 500 yard mound. 13 shooters tried their luck. We had two classes. One with a scope of over 26 power and one with a scope of under 25 power. We had lots of discussions about our shooting and the scoring. The wind didn't help. It was the final shooting Sunday for the month of April, held at the 600-yard mound. With cooler autumn weather, conditions proved to be quite difficult throughout the day. Shooters faced light to moderate winds switching from left to right, alternating sunshine and overcast, and heavy mirage—all of which challenged shooters’ ability to read the condition.
