27th September 2026, 600 Yards

Today would have been one of the hardest days to shoot.  One of our long standing members said "I have been shooting for 70 years but  today I can't read the wind".  That sums up the day perfectly.  The mirage was running left to right and before the string was finished it ran right to left.  If it wasn't running it was boiling, so we couldn't see the centre of our targets.  It made for some very interesting scores. 

We were shooting on our 600 yard mound and we had 15 shooters.  No one had a perfect score.  We had two Production Class shooters with 104 only dropping one shot.  Well done Greg H and Ashleigh W on your shoot.  Maybe Jeff should take Ashleigh away to swim with the crocodiles more often.  In the F Standard it was a battle between husband and wife to see who would win.  It came down to the last shot. Bad luck John and congratulation Femy.
