4th August 2024, 300 Yards

Neil Sexton

A very large turn out last Sunday produced some fine performances from the shooters. Kevin Jones shot well to win in standard class, just ahead of Dave Taylor. The open class was close as usual with Kevin Birse scoring maximum points, Neil Sexton runner up. The sporter/ hunter class was very popular with eleven shooters competing, Richard McKillop scoring maximum points to win, Hayden Aspinall second place.

Next Sunday, 11th August, we will be at 400 yards.

Congratulations to Penny Smith on the Australian shooting team at the Olympic games for winning bronze medal in the womens trap shooting event, a good news result for the Australian shooting community.
