4th October 2026, 300 Yards
Here’s a quick wrap‑up from today’s Southern Downs Rifle Club shoot at the 300‑yard mound. We had 15 shooters across three classes tackling some very tricky conditions. The mirage was running hard from right to left and switching back the other way with a slight, inconsistent wind on top of it. It made holding a steady aim unpredictable for everyone.
In F‑Open, Margaret T with the score of 107.2 took the win by default as the sole competitor in the category. In F‑Standard, John Cook put down an excellent score of 125.12 to secure first place against five other shooters.
In Production Class, Rod W came out on top with a strong 104.14, winning against seven competitors.
Well, done to all shooters who battled through the challenging conditions. Looking forward to seeing everyone again next week.
